David Marsh began his career while still in college – working for the college audio-visual department and later starting a sound rental company. In 1981, he began offering design-build sound contracting services through the rental company and soon found an opportunity to help start the new sound contracting division of another business.

In this context, he became familiar with acoustical and AV consulting firms. Marsh joined PMI Acoustics in 1985, a Dallas, TX based consulting firm founded the year before by Gary Kinsella.

In 1987, PMI Acoustics restructured as Pelton Marsh Kinsella, Inc. (PMK). During 2003/2004, Marsh co-founded PMK International in Dubai, UAE – a sister company to PMK. Marsh and Kinsella have now rejoined forces in Kinsella-Marsh Group, Inc. Marsh brings to this new business venture his years of consulting experience in architectural acoustics, environmental noise and AV systems design for a wide range of project types.

These include performing arts facilities, worship centers, hotels and “mega-resorts, high-rise office buildings and condominiums, training and education spaces, professional sports facilities, amusement parks and themed attractions.

Marsh is a Fellow of the Acoustical Society of America (FASA), the Immediate Past President of NCAC and a member of the Independent Consultants in Audiovisual Technology (ICAT) Council of the International Communications Industries Association (ICIA).

He writes extensively for trade magazines, presents papers at professional society meetings and teaches seminars at annual conferences.
